Working efficiently with different types of drywall: the power of the cardholder.
Within finish construction, multiple types of drywall are often used on projects. This means that several sheets need to be stored in one room, and they often end up on one storage trestle. To avoid having to stack sheets later, it is crucial that all materials are placed on the racks in the correct installation order from the start. De Plaatmaat’s card holder was developed for exactly this purpose.
The card holder is an A4 frame with holder, which can easily be placed in the recess at the top of De Plaatmaat. This makes it immediately clear to the transport crew how the trestles should be supplied: what type of plates, in what numbers and in what order.
By providing all trestles with clear loading instructions prior to the delivery of the sheet material, it becomes easy for the transport crew to supply each room correctly and efficiently. This not only provides financial benefits through a more efficient logistics process, but also ergonomic gains. Because plates are immediately placed in the right place, fitters do not have to move or stack them later. This significantly reduces physical strain.
In short, a well-prepared loading process in the preliminary phase of a project leads to less stress on the shop floor and more efficiency on the construction site.
