Several parties from the construction world have contributed to the development of this new product. Ideas were submitted both from the field and from the sector association. Ultimately, the result is a product that meets all of the requirements in terms of functionality, longevity, safety and environmental friendliness.
De Plaatmaat has many advantages over the trestles that are currently in widespread use, such as wooden or steel trestles.
RegistrationFrom the stacking function, the next idea was born, namely registration. Each buck is provided with its own coding so that it is unique and known everywhere as your buck. With an order size of 3000 pieces or more, it is possible to provide the trestle with its own registration or scan code.
Easy to stackFollowing various conversations with suppliers of wooden trestles, it became clear that the wooden trestles were an eyesore in terms of storage and transport. In order to realise this in a good, orderly and stable way, we have provided the trestle with a male/female side. This makes it possible to stack about 50 trestles on 1 europallet.
Convenient handleThe Sheetstand™ is equipped with a handle whose position has been determined in such a way that in practice it is ergonomically sound to lift the trestle with one hand. The correct weight ratio is important in this story.
Environmentally awareNot unimportant for us as a developer is that the plate size should be as environmentally friendly as possible. The materials are therefore sustainable and recyclable. Damaged trestles will be taken back for a predetermined fee so that they can be recycled responsibly.
Pairing functionIn the field of application of The Sheetstand™, there is often limited space. In order to provide The Sheetstand™ with connecting elements, 2 trestles can be coupled with the back. The advantage of this is that it creates double storage in a minimum amount of space. An additional advantage of a double storage function is that different plate materials can also be stored separately so that everything is not criss-crossed and you always end up needing the last plate.
NotepadIn the form of a whiteboard the size of an A4 sheet, we have developed a noteboard with a customised holder that can be placed in a designated recess in the top of The Sheetstand™. Notes can be placed on this using a whiteboard marker, which can prevent errors during the supply phase.
ConnectorWe have developed the connector in such a way that if we allow the sheet material to cross a maximum of 500 mm on one side, the sheet size can still be moved at any time by means of an extended pallet/pump truck. Another advantage is that the trestles will not fall over easily when empty, and you can prepare the trestles days in advance.
Your own colour and logoThe basic colour for loose sales is black. With an order size of 3000 pieces or more, it is possible, at a small extra cost, to specify your own colour on the basis of Ral waaijer. (provided that the colour has not already been chosen by another customer). In addition, it is also possible, for orders of 3000+ units, to have the bucks fitted with an own logo which has to be supplied by the customer in the form of an EPS file.

The Sheetstand™ is fitted with a man-woman connection that makes it possible to stack The Sheetstand™ as efficiently as possible and prepare it for storage and/or transport.
The Plaatmaat pallet is stacked according to a set procedure and secured with the appropriate straps.
